HMM-364 "Purple Foxes" deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, flying the CH-46E Sea Knight in combat operations across Iraq. Marine medium helicopter squadrons were in constant demand during OIF, providing troop lift, casualty evacuation, resupply, and command and control in Al Anbar Province and across the theater. This Iraq patch commemorates the Purple Foxes' service during one of the final combat deployments of the CH-46 era.
