HMM-363 "Lucky Red Lions" was a Marine medium helicopter squadron that operated the CH-46 Sea Knight from bases on both coasts. The Lucky Red Lions deployed to Vietnam, where CH-46 crews flew thousands of assault support, medevac, and resupply missions. The squadron continued to serve through the Cold War and post-Vietnam era before being deactivated. The Lucky Red Lions name and insignia remain some of the most distinctive in Marine medium helicopter aviation.
