HMM-361 "Flying Tigers" was one of the Marine Corps' most active medium helicopter squadrons, flying the CH-46 Sea Knight in combat and peacetime operations spanning decades. The squadron deployed to Vietnam, where CH-46 crews flew thousands of assault support, resupply, and medevac missions in some of the war's most contested areas. HMM-361 continued to serve aboard amphibious ships and at bases throughout the Pacific, earning a reputation for reliability and combat readiness. The Flying Tigers transitioned to the CH-53E Super Stallion and redesignated as HMH-361, continuing the legacy under a heavier airframe. This sticker captures the squadron in its CH-46 era.
