HMM-264 "Black Knights" was a Marine medium helicopter squadron operating the CH-46E Sea Knight out of MCAS New River, North Carolina, under MAG-26, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. The Black Knights deployed aboard amphibious ships with Marine Expeditionary Units and to combat zones, providing assault support and troop transport throughout their service. HMM-264 later transitioned to the MV-22B Osprey and redesignated as VMM-264.
