HMM-162 "Golden Eagles" operated the CH-46E Sea Knight as one of the Marine Corps' most historically significant medium helicopter squadrons. From the first ship-to-shore helicopter assault in 1952 to decades of combat and peacetime deployments, the Golden Eagles built a legacy that few squadrons can match. This patch variant captures a different design from the squadron's history.
