Officially Licensed USMC HMM-162 Golden Eagles Patch — Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron CH-46 Sea Knight Embroidered Patch

The Golden Eagles — the squadron that made amphibious warfare history with the first ship-to-shore helicopter assault.

HMM-162 "Golden Eagles" made history during Operation Lex Baker I in 1952, conducting the first large-scale ship-to-shore helicopter movement when they airlifted a combat-equipped company from the USS Rendova to Camp Pendleton. The Golden Eagles went on to deploy to Vietnam, Beirut (providing support after the 1983 barracks bombing), Liberia (evacuating 2,600+ nationals during Operation Sharp Edge), Iraq, and Haiti. HMM-162 operated the CH-46 Sea Knight before transitioning to the MV-22B Osprey and redesignating as VMM-162.

Perfect For:
HMM-162 and VMM-162 Golden Eagles past and present, CH-46 Sea Knight veterans, Marine medium helicopter aviation historians, and USMC legacy squadron patch collectors.

Golden Eagles. First ship-to-shore.

Size is shown on the product page and updates with the variant you select (example: 3"). If you’re mounting on a hat or small panel, choose smaller sizes; for plate carriers and display boards, larger sizes fit better.
