The Gunrunners — running guns with Vipers and Venoms from Camp Pendleton.

HMLA-269 "Gunrunners" is a Marine light attack helicopter squadron operating the AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom out of MCAS Camp Pendleton, California, under MAG-39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. The Gunrunners trace their lineage through HMA-269, carrying the attack helicopter tradition forward into the combined HMLA era. HMLA-269 provides close air support, armed reconnaissance, armed escort, and assault support to the Marine Air-Ground Task Force, deploying aboard amphibious ships and to forward operating locations across the Pacific and beyond. The Gunrunners have seen combat in Operations Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom.

HMLA-269 Gunrunners past and present, AH-1Z and UH-1Y crews, MAG-39 and 3rd MAW Marines, West Coast Skid Kids, and Marine light attack helicopter patch collectors.
