Officially Licensed USMC HML-268 Squadron Patch — Marine Light Helicopter Squadron Legacy Embroidered Patch
Before the Red Dragons flew Ospreys — HML-268 flew Hueys across the Pacific.
HML-268 was a Marine light helicopter squadron that operated the UH-1 Huey in the utility and light attack support role. Based in Hawaii under MAG-24, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, HML-268 was part of the Marine Corps' Pacific-based aviation force during the era when light, attack, and observation helicopter missions were organized in separate squadrons. The squadron later evolved through the HMM and HMLA designation changes as the Marine Corps consolidated its rotary-wing force structure. The 268 lineage eventually became HMM-268 and then VMM-268 "Red Dragons," which continues to serve today flying MV-22B Ospreys from MCAS Kaneohe Bay. This patch preserves the original HML-268 identity.
Perfect For:
HML-268 veterans, UH-1 Huey crews who served in Hawaii, VMM-268 Red Dragons alumni, Pacific-based Marine helicopter aviators, and USMC legacy squadron patch collectors.
