The Forward Arming and Refueling Point (FARP) is where Marine heavy helicopter operations meet expeditionary logistics, and the CH-53 Super Stallion is the biggest customer at the fuel pump. This patch recognizes the Marines who operate FARPs for HMH-464 and other CH-53 squadrons, providing the hot refueling capability that extends the range and endurance of the Marine Corps' heaviest helicopter. FARP operations require precision, speed, and nerves of steel — refueling a running helicopter is not for the faint of heart.
