Edson Range — USMC Embroidered Patch
The West Coast Rifle Range
Edson Range at Camp Pendleton is where West Coast Marines learn and requalify with their rifles — the hallowed ground where marksmanship fundamentals are drilled into every Marine. This officially licensed patch represents one of the most important training facilities in the Marine Corps.
Edson Range, located aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, is the primary marksmanship training facility for the West Coast Marine Corps. Named after Major General Merritt "Red Mike" Edson, Medal of Honor recipient, the range complex provides known-distance and combat marksmanship training for recruits from MCRD San Diego and Marines from I Marine Expeditionary Force. Edson Range is where the Marine Corps' legendary marksmanship culture is born and sustained on the West Coast.
Perfect For:
Edson Range alumni, MCRD San Diego recruits, Camp Pendleton marksmanship Marines, and Marine Corps weapons training heritage collectors.
