NAS South Weymouth — USN Embroidered Patch

New England's Navy Air Station

NAS South Weymouth served the New England military community for decades, providing reserve aviation training and operations from the outskirts of Boston. This officially licensed patch represents the sailors and Marines who served at this important reserve aviation installation.

Naval Air Station South Weymouth, located south of Boston in Weymouth, Massachusetts, served as a major Naval Air Reserve facility from 1942 until its closure in 1997. The station hosted multiple reserve patrol, transport, and helicopter squadrons, and was a vital part of the Navy's reserve aviation capability on the East Coast. NAS South Weymouth also played an important role during World War II as a training facility for Naval aviators heading to the Pacific theater.

Perfect For:
NAS South Weymouth veterans, New England military aviation community, Navy Reserve alumni, and closed NAS heritage collectors.
