NAS Glenview — US Navy Embroidered Patch

Chicago's Naval Air Station

NAS Glenview served as the Chicago area's premier naval air station and one of the most important reserve aviation installations in the nation. This officially licensed patch represents the sailors and Marines who served at this legendary station before its closure.

Naval Air Station Glenview, located near Chicago, Illinois, served the Navy and Marine Corps from 1937 until its closure in 1995 under the Base Realignment and Closure process. The station was a major hub for reserve aviation, hosting numerous Navy and Marine Corps reserve squadrons. NAS Glenview also served as a training center during World War II and the Korean War, and its annual air shows were among the most popular in the Midwest. The station's closure marked the end of an era for military aviation in the Chicago area.

Perfect For:
NAS Glenview veterans, Chicago-area military aviation enthusiasts, Navy and Marine reserve aviation alumni, and closed NAS heritage collectors.
