MCAS Quantico serves the Crossroads of the Marine Corps — the base where Marine leaders are made, doctrine is written, and the future of the Corps is shaped. This officially licensed patch represents the aviation support mission at one of the most important installations in the entire Department of Defense.
Marine Corps Air Station Quantico, located within Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia, provides aviation support for the Marine Corps Combat Development Command, The Basic School, Officer Candidates School, and numerous other commands that call Quantico home. The air station supports HMX-1, the Presidential helicopter squadron, and provides aviation services for the vast training and development mission conducted at Quantico. Every Marine officer passes through Quantico at some point in their career, and MCAS Quantico ensures that aviation support is always available for the Corps' intellectual center of gravity.
