MCAS New River — USMC Embroidered Patch
Home of Marine Rotary Wing
MCAS New River is where Marine rotary wing and tiltrotor aviation lives on the East Coast. From MV-22 Ospreys to CH-53 Super Stallions, the heavy iron of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing calls New River home. This officially licensed patch represents every Marine who has served at the birthplace of East Coast assault support.
Marine Corps Air Station New River, located adjacent to Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina, serves as the primary East Coast base for Marine rotary wing and tiltrotor operations. The air station hosts Marine Aircraft Groups 26 and 29, which operate MV-22B Ospreys, CH-53E Super Stallions, and their associated logistics and support squadrons. MCAS New River provides the aviation combat element for the II Marine Expeditionary Force, supporting amphibious operations, assault support, and heavy lift missions worldwide.
