Marine Tactical Air Command Squadron 38 (MTACS-38) provides the tactical air command center (TACC) capability that enables the Marine Air-Ground Task Force commander to direct and control Marine aviation assets. This embroidered patch represents one of the air wing's critical command and control squadrons. MTACS-38's operators manage the flow of air traffic, coordinate air support missions, direct tactical air defense, and maintain the air picture that allows Marine aviation to operate effectively in complex airspace. Without MTACS, the air wing doesn't have eyes.
