This RIMPAC 2024 tab patch commemorates participation in the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise held in and around the Hawaiian Islands in 2024. RIMPAC is the world's largest international maritime warfare exercise, bringing together naval forces from dozens of nations for weeks of integrated training in every aspect of naval operations.
RIMPAC 2024 included surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, mine countermeasures, amphibious operations, live-fire exercises, and humanitarian assistance/disaster relief training conducted across the vast training areas around Naval Station Pearl Harbor and the Hawaiian operating areas. Participants included ships, submarines, aircraft, and Marines from allied and partner nations across the Pacific Rim and beyond, including vessels like USS Carl Vinson, USS North Carolina, USS Tarawa, USCGC Midgett, and many international warships. The exercise featured cutting-edge weapons employment including the AIM-174 long-range air-to-air missile. RIMPAC strengthens the interoperability and partnerships that are essential to maintaining peace and stability across the Indo-Pacific region.
