Official HSM-74 Swamp Fox Ambush Flight Squadron Sticker — When the Swamp Foxes Go Dark, the Hunt Is On
Ambush Flight doesn't wait for the fight to come to them. They go find it.
Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 74 (HSM-74) — the 'Swamp Foxes' — is one of the U.S. Navy's most combat-proven helicopter squadrons, flying the MH-60R Seahawk multi-mission helicopter out of Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida, as part of Carrier Air Wing 3. The 'Ambush Flight' designation represents an internal flight or detachment within the squadron — the tactical element that embodies the offensive, hunter-killer mindset of the MH-60R community. The Swamp Foxes trace their lineage to 1986 as HSL-44, flew the SH-60B Seahawk for over two decades, and were redesignated HSM-74 on June 9, 2011, upon transition to the MH-60R. The MH-60R is the Navy's most capable anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare helicopter, equipped with AN/APS-153 multi-mode radar, FLIR, sonobuoy processing, dipping sonar, Mk-54 torpedoes, and AGM-114 Hellfire missiles. During their historic 2023–2024 combat deployment aboard USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, the Swamp Foxes fired the first-ever Hellfire missiles in defense of U.S. and coalition assets against Houthi-Iranian forces in the Red Sea, engaged and sank three Houthi small boats during a December 31st attack on civilian mariners, flew combat search and rescue during all seven dedicated strike packages into Houthi-controlled Yemen, and rescued 26 civilian mariners from the stricken M/V Tutor. The Ambush Flight identity captures the aggressive, predatory spirit of a squadron that earned its combat credentials by hunting threats on the surface and beneath it. This sticker is for the crews who don't wait for the call — they're already airborne.
Perfect For: HSM-74 Swamp Fox Ambush Flight crews, MH-60R Seahawk pilots and aircrew, CVW-3 and NAS Jacksonville personnel, and anyone who identifies with the hunter-killer mentality of the Romeo community.
