Officially Licensed US Navy VFA-32 Swordsmen Leather Patch - Strike Fighter Squadron 32 (VFA-32), the Fighting Swordsmen, officially licensed United States Navy leather patch, Carrier Air Wing 3, Naval Air Station Oceana.

Gypsy flight, Deus et Patria, and eight decades of carrier strike identity stitched into every thread of the Swordsmen name.

VFA-32 traces its lineage to Bombing Fighting Three, established on 1 February 1945 and split off from the famed VF-3 Felix squadron to fly F6F Hellcats in the Pacific. The squadron earned its Swordsmen name when it transitioned to the F-8 Crusader and added a sword to the heraldic lion that has anchored the unit insignia since 1950, alongside the enduring motto Deus et Patria. After flying F-14 Tomcats through the Gulf of Sidra engagement in 1989, Operation Desert Storm, and multiple Iraq deployments, the squadron transitioned to the F/A-18F Super Hornet in October 2005 and was redesignated VFA-32. Operating as part of Carrier Air Wing 3 and homeported at NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach, the Swordsmen have continued to build a combat record that includes sustained Red Sea operations during a nine-month deployment aboard USS Dwight D. Eisenhower in 2023 and 2024, logging over 3,000 combat hours and nearly 1,500 missions in support of Operations Inherent Resolve and Prosperity Guardian. That unbroken line from World War II Pacific strikes to modern carrier strike group combat gives this leather patch a unit story that spans every era of naval aviation.

Perfect for Navy strike fighter veterans, VFA-32 alumni and Gypsies, F/A-18F Super Hornet aircrew and maintainers, Carrier Air Wing 3 collectors, NAS Oceana community members, deployment shadow boxes, cruise book displays, challenge coin and patch boards, reunion gifts, and anyone building a serious naval aviation collection around Atlantic Fleet carrier strike history. It also makes a meaningful keepsake for families and supporters who want a durable, officially licensed tribute to the pilots, naval flight officers, and deck crews who have kept the Swordsmen mission-ready across eight decades of carrier operations.

Fighting Swordsmen heritage, officially licensed and built to last as long as the legend behind the lion.
