US Navy VT-31 Advanced Multi-Engine Student Patch — Wise Owls Training Squadron Embroidered Patch
Earn your wings with the Wise Owls.
Training Squadron Thirty-One (VT-31) "Wise Owls" is a United States Navy advanced multi-engine training squadron based at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Texas. The squadron is tasked with one of the most critical missions in naval aviation: transforming student naval aviators into proficient multi-engine pilots ready for fleet assignment. VT-31 operates the T-44C Pegasus, a pressurized twin-turboprop aircraft that serves as the Navy's primary advanced multi-engine trainer.
As part of Training Air Wing Four (TW-4), VT-31 provides the advanced phase of multi-engine training for students who have been selected for the maritime patrol and reconnaissance pipeline. Graduates of VT-31 go on to fly the P-8A Poseidon, E-6B Mercury, C-130 Hercules, and other multi-engine platforms across the fleet. The Wise Owls have trained generations of naval aviators since their establishment, building a proud legacy of excellence in advanced flight instruction at NAS Corpus Christi.
The squadron's owl mascot represents wisdom and keen perception — qualities essential for the multi-engine pilots who will conduct long-range maritime patrol, anti-submarine warfare, and strategic communications missions across the world's oceans.
Perfect For: Naval aviation students, VT-31 alumni, T-44 Pegasus enthusiasts, multi-engine pipeline graduates, and TW-4 training wing collectors.
Fly wise, fly far — VT-31 Wise Owls.
