Fighter Squadron 101 (VF-101), the "Grim Reapers," served as the Atlantic Fleet F-14 Tomcat Fleet Replacement Squadron. VF-101 trained every East Coast Tomcat pilot and radar intercept officer before they went to fleet fighter squadrons. Earlier, VF-101 flew the F-4 Phantom.
