VMMT-204 Fist F* Friday Patches — Raptors Know How to End the Week
Friday at the Osprey schoolhouse hits different.
VMMT-204 "Raptors" is the Marine Corps' MV-22 Osprey Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) based at MCAS New River, North Carolina, under MAG-26 and the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. The Raptors are the only unit in the world that trains MV-22 Osprey pilots, crew chiefs, and maintainers — every single Marine and Navy Osprey aviator in the fleet passed through VMMT-204's syllabus. Originally formed in 1972 as HMT-204 training CH-46 Sea Knight pilots, the squadron was redesignated in 1999 to take on the revolutionary tiltrotor. The "Fist F* Friday" morale patch is pure squadron culture — a weekly tradition celebrating surviving another week of training flights, sim sessions, ground school, and the controlled chaos that is Osprey University at New River. It's the kind of patch that doesn't need further explanation if you've been there.
Perfect For: VMMT-204 Raptors instructors and students, MV-22 Osprey community, MCAS New River squadrons, MAG-26 and 2nd MAW personnel, tiltrotor pilots and crew chiefs, and anyone who earned their Osprey wings through the Raptors.
VMMT-204 — because Fridays at Osprey University are earned, not given.
