Officially Licensed US Navy RVAH-7 Peacemakers Squadron Patch — Reconnaissance Attack Squadron 7 Peacemakers Embroidered Patch

The Peacemakers — RVAH-7, streaking over enemy territory at supersonic speed in the A-5 Vigilante, capturing the intelligence that told commanders what the enemy was doing and where.

Reconnaissance Attack Squadron 7 (RVAH-7), the "Peacemakers," was a U.S. Navy carrier-based reconnaissance squadron that operated the North American A-5 Vigilante in the RA-5C reconnaissance configuration. The Peacemakers flew one of the most demanding and dangerous missions in naval aviation — tactical aerial reconnaissance over heavily defended enemy territory at high speed and low altitude, capturing photographic and electronic intelligence that was critical to planning and executing air operations.

The RA-5C Vigilante was the fastest and most capable tactical reconnaissance aircraft in the Navy's inventory. Originally designed as a supersonic nuclear bomber (the A-5A), the Vigilante was converted to the reconnaissance role and equipped with an advanced sensor suite including high-resolution cameras, infrared sensors, side-looking airborne radar (SLAR), and electronic intelligence (ELINT) receivers. RVAH-7's crews flew the Vigilante at speeds exceeding Mach 2 over the most heavily defended airspace in the world, collecting intelligence that no other platform could obtain.

During the Vietnam War, RVAH squadrons suffered some of the highest loss rates in naval aviation because their mission required straight, level flight over targets — making them predictable targets for enemy air defenses. The Peacemakers' courage in flying these missions is a testament to the bravery of Navy reconnaissance aviators.

Perfect For: RVAH-7 Peacemakers veterans, RA-5C Vigilante community members, Navy reconnaissance aviators, Vietnam-era naval aviators, and Navy heritage squadron patch collectors.

RVAH-7 Peacemakers — making peace through knowledge, streaking over the enemy at Mach 2 to bring back the intelligence that won the air war.
