Officially Licensed US Navy VP-66 Liberty Bells Patch — Patrol Squadron Sixty-Six Embroidered Patch
Let freedom ring from the cockpit of a patrol aircraft.
Patrol Squadron Sixty-Six (VP-66) "Liberty Bells" was a United States Navy Reserve maritime patrol squadron with a proud tradition of service spanning several decades. Based out of NAS Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, the Liberty Bells were one of the Navy Reserve's most capable patrol units, carrying the spirit of Philadelphia's most iconic symbol into the skies over the world's oceans.
VP-66 operated the legendary P-3 Orion, the Navy's premier land-based maritime patrol and anti-submarine warfare aircraft. As a Reserve squadron under Commander Naval Air Reserve Force (CNATRA), the Liberty Bells maintained fleet-ready proficiency in anti-submarine warfare, surface surveillance, and maritime reconnaissance. When activated, VP-66 crews seamlessly integrated with active-duty patrol wings to augment the Navy's global maritime patrol capabilities. The squadron's reservists brought a unique blend of civilian expertise and military dedication to every mission.
The Liberty Bell insignia represented not only the squadron's Philadelphia-area roots but also the fundamental American values of freedom and service that every crew member embodied during their years of dedicated reserve duty.
Perfect For: VP-66 veterans, P-3 Orion enthusiasts, Navy Reserve patrol squadron collectors, and maritime aviation historians.
