Officially Licensed US Navy E-2 Hawkeye Carrier Airborne Early Warning Weapons School Shoulder Patch — USN CAEWWS Embroidered Patch
The schoolhouse where Hawkeye crews learn to own the battlespace. If you've been through CAEWWS, you earned the right to control the fight from 25,000 feet.
The Carrier Airborne Early Warning Weapons School (CAEWWS) is the U.S. Navy's advanced tactical training program for E-2 Hawkeye aircrews. Based at Naval Air Station Norfolk, Virginia, CAEWWS takes already-qualified E-2C and E-2D crews and sharpens them into tactical experts capable of commanding the airborne battle management picture for an entire carrier strike group. The E-2 Hawkeye has been the Navy's eyes in the sky since 1964 — a twin-turboprop, carrier-based aircraft carrying the most powerful airborne radar in the fleet. From air intercept control to strike coordination and surface surveillance, the Hawkeye crew orchestrates every phase of naval air warfare. CAEWWS graduates return to the fleet as the most lethal mission commanders in carrier aviation.
Perfect For:
CAEWWS graduates and instructors, E-2 Hawkeye aircrew across the fleet, VAW squadron personnel, carrier air wing staff, and Navy aviation patch collectors. A mark of tactical excellence in the Hawkeye community.
