Unmanned Carrier-Launched Multi-Role Squadron 10 (VUQ-10), the "Pathfinders," was established on October 1, 2022, at NAS Patuxent River as the Fleet Replacement Squadron for the Boeing MQ-25 Stingray — the Navy's first carrier-based unmanned aerial refueling drone. VUQ-10 is training the first generation of Air Vehicle Pilots (AVPs) and maintainers who will operate the MQ-25 from carrier decks, fundamentally transforming how the Navy extends the range and lethality of its carrier air wings. The squadron will eventually relocate to Naval Base Ventura County at Point Mugu, California.
