USMC Raider Battalion Patches — Embroidered Patch
Spiritus Invictus — The Spirit of the Raiders Lives On
The Marine Raider legacy spans from the jungles of World War II to the special operations battlefields of the 21st century. These patches connect two generations of elite warriors — the original Raiders who fought at Makin, Guadalcanal, and New Georgia, and the modern Marine Raiders of MARSOC who carry that unconquerable spirit into today's most dangerous and complex operating environments.
The original Marine Raider Battalions were formed in 1942 as elite light infantry units, trained for amphibious raids, guerrilla warfare, and behind-the-lines operations. Under legendary commanders like Merritt "Red Mike" Edson and Evans Carlson, the Raiders fought some of the most daring engagements of the Pacific War. Though disbanded in 1944, their legacy was reborn when Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC) was established in 2006 and its operators were officially designated as Marine Raiders in 2015. Today's Marine Raiders conduct direct action, special reconnaissance, and foreign internal defense operations worldwide, maintaining the same aggressive, unconventional warfare mindset that defined the originals.
Perfect For:
Marine Raiders and MARSOC operators, Marine Raider Association members, special operations enthusiasts, WWII Raider historians, 1st and 2nd Raider Battalion veterans and families, and anyone who respects the elite warriors of the Marine Corps.
Spiritus Invictus — the unconquerable spirit of the Raiders.
