Officially Licensed USMC Marine Raider Training Center (MRTC) patch.
A&S → ITC → MOS-Q. The pipeline that builds Critical Skills Operators.
The Marine Raider Training Center (MRTC) is the assessment, selection, and training organization for Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) — the unit responsible for screening, selecting, and qualifying every Critical Skills Operator (CSO) and Special Operations Capabilities Specialist who serves on a Marine Special Operations Team. MRTC was formerly known as the Marine Special Operations School and was renamed the Marine Raider Training Center in June 2017 alongside the rest of the MARSOC "Raider" rebranding. The MRTC pipeline runs in three phases: first, the Assessment and Selection (A&S) Program, where Marines who have qualified through MARSOC recruiters' screening — and ideally completed the published 10-week prep training plan, with at least the first 7 weeks being the minimum to support the program's physical demands — are tested across mental, physical, and leadership dimensions; then the Individual Training Course (ITC), the multi-month school that develops the mental, physical, and leadership skills needed to serve effectively on a Marine Special Operations Team; and finally the Marine Raider Course (MRC) and follow-on advanced and language qualification training. MARSOC was activated on February 24, 2006 at Camp Lejeune, and MRTC has stood up every Critical Skills Operator the Raider Regiment has ever fielded. This patch is for every cadre member, instructor, and graduate who came through the schoolhouse.
Perfect For: Marine Raider Training Center cadre and instructors, MARSOC A&S and ITC graduates, Critical Skills Operators (CSOs), Special Operations Capabilities Specialists, MARSOC recruiters, Marine Raider Regiment veterans, and USSOCOM training community collectors.
MRTC — A&S to ITC, the Raider pipeline since 2006.
