Officially Licensed USMC MALS-24 Warriors squadron patches.
MALS-24 Warriors — Kaneohe aviation logistics, since March 1, 1942.
Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 24 (MALS-24), the "Warriors," is the U.S. Marine Corps aviation logistics squadron based at Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCAS Kaneohe Bay), under Marine Aircraft Group 24 (MAG-24) and the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. MALS-24 provides aviation logistics support — intermediate-level maintenance for aircraft and aeronautical equipment, aviation supply support, Class V(a) ammunition logistics, and oversight of operations and maintenance policies — to MAG-24's MV-22B Osprey, CH-53E Super Stallion, KC-130J Super Hercules, and emerging MQ-9A Reaper squadrons (VMM-268, VMM-363, HMH-463, KC-130J detachments, and VMU-3). The squadron has one of the longest lineages in the Marine Aviation Logistics community: it was commissioned on March 1, 1942 at Marine Corps Air Station Ewa, Oahu, Hawaii, initially as Headquarters and Service Squadron 24 (H&SS-24), assigned to the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. H&SS-24 deployed to Efate, New Hebrides in March 1942 to help establish a forward airfield, relocated to Santa Barbara, California in June 1942, then redeployed to Efate in September 1943 under the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. During World War II, the squadron supported Marine aviation in the Battle of Bougainville and the Philippines campaign (1944–1945), and participated in the post-war occupation of China in September–October 1945. This Warriors patch set carries that lineage forward — Kaneohe today, Pacific forever.
Perfect For: MALS-24 Warriors active-duty and veteran Marines and Sailors, MAG-24 squadron maintenance and supply personnel (VMM-268, VMM-363, HMH-463, VMU-3, KC-130J det), MCBH Kaneohe Bay-stationed Marines, MCAS Ewa heritage operators, Pacific MAGTF aviation logistics community members, and 1st MAW patch collectors.
