Officially Licensed USMC 6th Combat Logistics Battalion (CLB-6) patch.
Red Cloud — logistics combat support for the Regimental Combat Team.
Combat Logistics Battalion 6 (CLB-6), nicknamed "Red Cloud," is a U.S. Marine Corps logistics battalion based at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, falling under Combat Logistics Regiment 2 (CLR-2) and the 2nd Marine Logistics Group (2nd MLG). CLB-6 trains, rapidly task-organizes, deploys, employs, fights, and redeploys to provide direct logistics combat support to a Regimental Combat Team (RCT) and additional Marine Air-Ground Task Force maneuver elements beyond their organic capabilities — the heavy-lift, fuel, water, ammunition, maintenance, motor transport, and engineering backbone that lets a forward RCT keep operating. The battalion was formed in 2006 under Lieutenant Colonel Patrick N. Kelleher and Sergeant Major Melanie A. Hunt to meet the surge demand for air-ground logistical support during forward deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. CLB-6 deployed to Al Anbar Province in February 2007 (returning September 2007), again in February 2008 under Lieutenant Colonel David J. Eskelund and Sergeant Major Wayne O. Gallman (returning September 2008), and then to Afghanistan in January 2010 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom out of Camp Leatherneck — running supply convoys across some of the most contested ground in Helmand Province. Today CLB-6 continues to provide direct support to 6th Marine Regiment and the rest of 2nd Marine Division when called, and stands ready to deploy with the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade or the next East Coast MEU. This patch carries the Red Cloud lineage.
Perfect For: CLB-6 "Red Cloud" active-duty and veteran Marines and Sailors, 2nd MLG and CLR-2 personnel, Camp Lejeune logistics community members, OIF Al Anbar 2007–2008 deployment veterans, Operation Enduring Freedom Camp Leatherneck alumni, and Marine Corps logistics combat support enthusiasts.
CLB-6 Red Cloud — logistics forward, RCT-ready, since 2006.
