Black Mac's Killers — hunting in the dark since World War II.
Marine Night Fighter Squadron 533 (VMF(N)-533) "Hawks" was one of the pioneering Marine Corps night fighter units of World War II. Known as "Black Mac's Killers" after their commanding officer, the Hawks flew the F6F Hellcat in the night fighter role across the Pacific Theater, intercepting Japanese aircraft under the cover of darkness when most pilots were grounded. VMF(N)-533 helped develop the tactics and techniques that would define Marine night and all-weather fighter operations for generations. This PVC patch honors that World War II heritage with a design featuring the F6F Hellcat and the Hawks' night fighter identity — built in durable, waterproof PVC that can handle anything.
