HMLA-469 "Vengeance" is a Marine light attack helicopter squadron operating the AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom out of MCAS Camp Pendleton, California, under MAG-39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. The Vengeance squadron provides close air support, armed escort, armed reconnaissance, and assault support for the Marine Air-Ground Task Force. HMLA-469 has deployed aboard amphibious ships and to forward operating locations, maintaining the combat readiness that the Vengeance name demands.
