The Gunfighters — HMLA-369, the Marine attack helicopter squadron whose name says it all, bringing the fight with the AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom.

Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 369 (HMLA-369), the "Gunfighters," is a USMC light attack helicopter squadron operating the AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom. The "Gunfighters" name is one of the most direct and aggressive callsigns in Marine aviation — no metaphors, no abstractions, just a clear statement of what HMLA-369 does: they fight with guns, missiles, and rockets, delivering devastating firepower in support of Marines on the ground.

HMLA-369 provides close air support, armed escort, armed reconnaissance, forward air control, and casualty evacuation to the Marine Air-Ground Task Force. The AH-1Z Viper is armed with a 20mm M197 three-barrel Gatling cannon, Hellfire and TOW missiles, and 2.75-inch rockets, while the UH-1Y Venom provides utility transport, command and control, and additional firepower with door-mounted weapons. Together, these platforms give the Gunfighters a lethal and versatile capability package.
