H&MS-20 served as the critical maintenance and headquarters element of Marine Aircraft Group 20, ensuring that every aircraft assigned to the group was mission-ready and every Marine had the support needed to accomplish the mission. This officially licensed patch represents the dedication of aviation maintainers and support personnel.
Headquarters and Maintenance Squadron 20 provided MAG-20 with the full spectrum of support functions essential to Marine aviation operations. From intermediate-level aircraft maintenance and avionics repair to supply chain management and headquarters administration, H&MS-20 Marines were the foundation upon which the group's tactical squadrons built their combat readiness. Their work was often unseen but never unimportant — without the skilled technicians and dedicated support Marines of H&MS-20, no aircraft would have launched and no mission would have succeeded.
