Cherry Point's Maintenance Warriors
When MAG-14 launched strikes from Guadalcanal or flew Harriers into Iraq, H&MS-14 was there making sure every aircraft was mission-ready. This headquarters and maintenance squadron has been the support backbone of one of the most storied air groups in the Marine Corps. This officially licensed patch represents that critical mission.
H&MS-14 has served MAG-14 since the group's activation in 1942, providing the headquarters functions, intermediate maintenance, and logistical support that keeps tactical squadrons in the air. Through World War II in the Pacific, and continuing through decades of operations at MCAS Cherry Point, the squadron has maintained its commitment to aviation readiness. The unit's legacy continues today through MALS-14, the Dragons, providing aviation logistics support to MAG-14's diverse fleet of F-35B Lightning II, AV-8B Harrier, KC-130J Super Hercules, and MQ-9 Reaper aircraft.
