USAF OV-10 Bronco Patch
The Air Force Bronco — low, slow, and always over the fight.
The OV-10 Bronco served the United States Air Force as a forward air control and light armed reconnaissance platform from the Vietnam War era through the early 1990s. USAF Bronco pilots were some of the most exposed aviators in combat, flying low and slow over hostile terrain to locate enemy targets, mark positions with smoke rockets, and direct fast-moving fighter-bombers onto target. The twin-boom, twin-turboprop design gave the Bronco excellent visibility and loiter capability — critical attributes for the forward air controller mission where seeing the enemy was the difference between a successful strike and a friendly fire tragedy. This commemorative patch honors the USAF squadrons that operated the Bronco and the men who flew it in harm's way.
Perfect For:
USAF OV-10 pilots and observers, forward air control veterans, Air Force tactical aviation enthusiasts, and collectors of USAF commemorative aviation patches.
For those who flew where the fight was thickest.
