Officially Licensed USMC VMGR-452 Yankees Squadron Leather Patch - Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 452 (VMGR-452), the Yankees, KC-130 Hercules officially licensed leather patch.

Yankees pride, New York roots, and three decades of Marine Corps aerial refueling heritage stitched into one durable leather insignia.

VMGR-452, known as the Yankees, was a Marine Corps Reserve aerial refueling and assault transport squadron originally activated in 1949 and redesignated VMGR-452 in 1961. Stationed at Stewart Air National Guard Base in Newburgh, New York, the squadron fell under Marine Aircraft Group 49 and the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing. Its mission was to support the Marine Air-Ground Task Force commander with aerial refueling and assault air transport of personnel, equipment, and supplies, day or night, in any weather, across expeditionary and joint operations. The Yankees flew KC-130 Hercules tankers for more than thirty years, answering the call in Operations Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom, where the squadron logged over 630 sorties, transferred millions of pounds of fuel in the air, and moved thousands of personnel across the theater. The squadron transitioned to the KC-130J Super Hercules before being deactivated in December 2022 as part of Marine Corps Force Design 2030 restructuring. This officially licensed leather patch captures the Yankees identity in a format built to last, with the kind of material weight and finish that suits shadow boxes, flight bags, veteran displays, and unit-history collections that demand more than a standard embroidered piece.

Perfect For: VMGR-452 Yankees veterans and alumni, KC-130 Hercules aircrew and maintainers, Marine Corps Reserve aviation supporters, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing collectors, Stewart ANGB community members, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom veterans, Marine aviation patch board builders, shadow box displays, reunion gifts, and family members honoring a loved one who served with the Yankees. It also fits serious collectors who want an officially licensed leather piece tied to a specific reserve squadron with a documented combat record and a proud New York identity.

Yankees heritage, fueled by service, preserved in leather.
