The USMC/Combat Helicopter & Tiltrotor Association traces its roots to a small group of Vietnam-era Marine helicopter pilots who reconnected in 1988 and built what became a 5,700-plus member organization spanning every generation of Marine rotary-wing and tiltrotor aviation, from the earliest HRS helicopters in Korea through the MV-22 Osprey. The association's mission has never changed: preserve and promote the camaraderie of Marine Corps pilots, aircrew, and support personnel who served with helicopters and tilt-rotor aircraft. Its motto, Saepe Expertus, Semper Fidelis, Fratris et Feminae Aeternitas — Often Tested, Always Faithful, Brothers and Sisters Forever — captures the bond that draws members back to each biennial reunion. The 2024 gathering brought the community to the Washington DC metro area, with events across Pentagon City, Arlington, and the nation's capital, including visits to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall.
