Officially Licensed US Navy VAW-113 Black Eagles Squadron Sticker - Airborne Command and Control Squadron 113 (VAW-113), the Black Eagles, officially licensed vinyl sticker representing one of the Navy's most decorated E-2 Hawkeye squadrons.
Black Eagles in the sky, eyes on the battle space — the squadron that sees everything first and keeps the carrier strike group one step ahead.
VAW-113 was established on 20 April 1967 and deployed to the Western Pacific aboard USS Constellation just one week later, flying the E-2A Hawkeye in support of Vietnam War operations every year from 1967 to 1975. The squadron played a vital role in Operation Frequent Wind, the 1975 evacuation of American personnel from Saigon, cementing its place in naval aviation history from its earliest years. Over the following decades the Black Eagles earned a reputation as tactical innovators, becoming the first E-2 squadron to operate alongside the F-14 Tomcat and F/A-18 Hornet and contributing directly to the development of outer air battle and medium-range anti-air tactics. The squadron transitioned to the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye and became the first E-2D unit on the West Coast, operating today out of Naval Air Station Point Mugu as part of Carrier Air Wing Two aboard USS Carl Vinson. In 2020, the squadron was formally redesignated Airborne Command and Control Squadron, reflecting the expanded battle management mission the Black Eagles have carried for more than five decades. This officially licensed vinyl sticker captures that full arc of service, from Vietnam-era WESTPAC deployments to modern carrier strike group command and control.
Perfect For: Navy aviation veterans, E-2 Hawkeye aircrew and maintainers, VAW-113 Black Eagles alumni, Carrier Air Wing Two collectors, USS Carl Vinson crew members, NAS Point Mugu supporters, naval aviation historians, cruise book displays, laptop and gear customization, shadow box accents, and anyone building a serious carrier aviation collection around airborne early warning and command and control heritage.
Black Eagles heritage, officially licensed, and built to fly on any surface worth marking.
