Officially Licensed POW MIA Plastic Signs - National League of POW/MIA Families officially licensed durable plastic display signs bearing the iconic black-and-white POW/MIA emblem and motto.
You Are Not Forgotten, carried in every hallway, gate, post, and place of honor where the promise must never fade.
The POW/MIA flag was adopted in 1972 by the National League of Families of American Prisoners and Missing in Southeast Asia, designed by World War II veteran and graphic artist Newt Heisley at the request of MIA wife Mary Hoff. Its stark black field, white silhouette of a bowed prisoner before a guard tower and barbed wire, and the words You Are Not Forgotten became one of the most recognized symbols in American military history. Congress officially recognized the emblem under U.S. Public Law 101-355 in 1990, designating it the symbol of the nation's commitment to resolving the fates of Americans still unaccounted for from the Vietnam War. The POW/MIA flag is the only flag besides the American flag ever to fly over the White House and the only flag ever displayed in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda. Federal law now requires its display at the White House, the Capitol, all major military installations, national cemeteries, VA medical centers, and every U.S. Post Office whenever the American flag is flown. More than 1,575 service members from the Vietnam War alone remain unaccounted for, and the National League of POW/MIA Families has served for over five decades as the primary non-governmental voice pressing for a full accounting. These officially licensed plastic signs carry that same weight of history and obligation, formatted for durable indoor and outdoor display in homes, offices, VFW halls, American Legion posts, fire stations, and veteran organizations.
Perfect For: Vietnam War veterans, POW and MIA family members, American Legion and VFW post displays, military unit common areas, veteran service organization offices, fire stations, police departments, government buildings, patriotic home displays, memorial rooms, reunion tables, and anyone who wants a durable, officially licensed piece that honors the unreturned and keeps the accountability mission visible every day of the year.
Officially licensed, enduringly meaningful, and built to keep the promise in plain sight.
