Official V-22 Osprey Ball Cap - Bell Boeing MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft embroidered ball cap, officially representing the Marine Corps assault support community.

Two rotors, one mission: move Marines faster, farther, and from any deck or dirt strip the Corps can find.

The V-22 Osprey traces its origins to a 1981 Department of Defense program seeking an aircraft that could take off and land vertically like a helicopter while flying with the speed and range of a turboprop. Bell Helicopter and Boeing were awarded the development contract in 1983, and the Marine Corps began crew training in 2000, fielding the MV-22B operationally in 2007 as the medium-lift replacement for the aging CH-46 Sea Knight. The MV-22B delivers twice the speed, six times the range, and three times the payload of the aircraft it replaced, giving Marine Medium Tiltrotor squadrons an assault support capability that no previous rotary-wing platform could match. The Osprey completed three combat deployments in Iraq between 2007 and 2009 with VMM-263, VMM-162, and VMM-266, and has since served in transportation and medevac operations across Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and Kuwait. With more than 700,000 flight hours logged across the joint force, the Osprey has proven itself as the backbone of Marine Corps expeditionary lift, operating from amphibious assault ships, forward land bases, and unimproved landing zones wherever the mission demands.

Perfect for MV-22 Osprey aircrew, VMM squadron veterans, Marine Corps aviation maintainers, tiltrotor enthusiasts, Marine Aircraft Group alumni, MEU supporters, deployment keepsake collectors, shadow box builders, and anyone who wants to wear the identity of the aircraft that redefined how the Marine Corps moves combat power ashore. It also makes a meaningful gift for families, supporters, and historians who follow the evolution of Marine assault support aviation from the Sea Knight era to the tiltrotor age.

Osprey heritage on your head, built for the crews who move the mission when speed and range are everything.
