USS Kitty Hawk CV-63 Sticker — The Hawk That Ruled the Pacific
Kitty Hawk was the last conventional carrier — and she went out after 49 years of service with her head held high.
USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) was a supercarrier that served as the U.S. Navy's last conventionally powered aircraft carrier, compiled one of the longest service records in carrier history spanning from 1961 to 2009. CV-63 saw combat during Vietnam, participated in Cold War operations, and served as America's forward-deployed carrier in Yokosuka, Japan, for the final years of her service. Kitty Hawk's 49-year career witnessed the evolution of carrier aviation from the F-4 Phantom era through the F/A-18 Super Hornet age. Her decommissioning marked the end of the conventional carrier era in the United States Navy.
Perfect For: USS Kitty Hawk CV-63 veterans, Japan forward-deployed sailors, conventional carrier historians, Pacific Fleet enthusiasts, and carrier sticker collectors.
