Officially Licensed US Navy VT-28 Rangers Squadron Sticker — Where Naval Aviators Get Their Wings
Every carrier pilot, every P-8 crew, every Hawkeye driver — they all started here.
VT-28 "Rangers" is a U.S. Navy primary flight training squadron based at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Texas, flying the T-6B Texan II. Originally established as Advanced Training Unit 611, the Rangers were commissioned as VT-28 on 1 May 1960 and have evolved from an advanced multi-engine training squadron flying S-2 Trackers and T-44 Pegasus trainers to their current role as one of the Navy's primary flight training squadrons. VT-28 was selected as the first undergraduate primary training squadron to fully integrate the Project Avenger syllabus — the Navy's modernized approach to producing higher-quality aviators under the Naval Aviation Training Next initiative. The Rangers shape the future of naval aviation, producing student naval aviators who will go on to fly Super Hornets, Growlers, Hawkeyes, Ospreys, and every other platform in the fleet. This vinyl sticker is a tribute to the squadron that gets it all started.
Perfect For: VT-28 Rangers students and instructors, T-6B Texan II community, NAS Corpus Christi personnel, CNATRA training wing members, student naval aviators, winging ceremony gifts, and anyone who remembers their first solo in South Texas.
