Marine Medium Tiltrotor Training Squadron 204, known as the Raptors, is the sole MV-22 Osprey fleet replacement squadron for the United States Marine Corps, operating out of Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina. Formed on 1 May 1972 and redesignated VMMT-204 on 10 June 1999, the squadron falls under Marine Aircraft Group 26 and the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. Its mission is to train every Marine and Navy MV-22 Osprey pilot, crew chief, and maintainer before they join operational squadrons, making it the gateway through which the entire Osprey community passes.
