Official VMM-364 Purple Foxes "Give a S*hit" Patches — The Motto Says It All
If you don't give one, you're not a Purple Fox.
VMM-364 "Purple Foxes" is a Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron flying the MV-22B Osprey out of MCAS Camp Pendleton, California, under MAG-39 and the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. The Purple Foxes' lineage stretches back to 1961, through three combat tours in Vietnam where they earned the Presidential Unit Citation flying CH-46 Sea Knights into some of the hottest landing zones of the war — including resupply missions to besieged Marines on Hill 861 during the Battle of Khe Sanh that other squadrons declared too dangerous to attempt. The Foxes also flew during OIF out of Al Taqaddum, conducting hundreds of CASEVAC missions. Their motto — "Give a S*hit" — isn't just irreverent humor. It's a statement of purpose that has defined this squadron for over six decades. This patch captures that attitude perfectly.
Perfect For: VMM-364 Purple Foxes Marines and veterans, MV-22 Osprey community, Camp Pendleton aviation squadrons, HMM-364 Vietnam-era Marines, 3rd MAW tiltrotor crews, and anyone whose squadron motto is also their life philosophy.
