Officially Licensed USMC VMGR-152 Sumos Patch — Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152 Embroidered Patch
Heavyweight support across the Pacific — Ichi Go Ni.
Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152 (VMGR-152) "Sumos" is a United States Marine Corps KC-130J Super Hercules squadron based at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. The Sumos are the only permanently forward-deployed Marine aerial refueling and transport squadron in the Western Pacific, providing the critical fuel and airlift that keeps Marine aviation operations running across the Indo-Pacific theater. Their motto "Ichi Go Ni" (Japanese for "One-Five-Two") reflects their deep connection to their Japanese host nation.
VMGR-152 operates the KC-130J Super Hercules, the latest variant of the legendary C-130 Hercules. The KC-130J serves as an aerial refueling tanker, cargo transport, paradrop platform, and can be configured for a variety of special missions. The Sumos refuel Marine fighters, attack helicopters, and tiltrotor aircraft in flight, extending their range and combat persistence across the vast distances of the Pacific. They also provide vital airlift of troops, equipment, and supplies between bases throughout Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Australia, and beyond. The sumo wrestler mascot perfectly captures the squadron's identity — massive, powerful, and essential.
This patch represents the heavyweight champions of Marine aerial logistics in the Pacific.
Perfect For: VMGR-152 Sumos veterans, KC-130J Hercules enthusiasts, MCAS Iwakuni personnel, and Marine aerial refueling and transport squadron collectors.
