VMFA-648 Red Flag 2021 Shoulder Patches — Reserve Power at Nellis
When the reserves show up to Red Flag, they don't play like reserves.
VMFA-648 is a composite designation representing Marine Fighter Attack Squadrons that participated in Red Flag 2021 at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada — the Air Force's premier air combat training exercise. Red Flag throws participants into the most realistic combat scenarios possible, simulating integrated air defense environments with adversary aircraft, electronic warfare, and joint force coordination across thousands of square miles of restricted airspace. For Marine F/A-18 Hornet squadrons from MCAS Beaufort, attending Red Flag means proving that Marine tactical aviation can integrate seamlessly with Air Force, Navy, and allied assets in the most demanding air warfare environment short of actual combat. This shoulder patch commemorates the 2021 iteration, where Marine Hornets from Beaufort showed up and punched well above their weight.
Perfect For: VMFA-648 participants, Red Flag 2021 attendees, MCAS Beaufort Hornet squadrons, VMFA-115 and VMFA(AW)-533 Marines, Air Force Red Flag veterans, joint exercise commemorative patch collectors, and anyone who survived Nellis in the summer.
