The Red Dragons — the Pacific's tiltrotor force, flying the Osprey from Hawaii across the Indo-Pacific.

VMM-268 "Red Dragons" operates the MV-22B Osprey out of MCAS Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, under MAG-24, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. As one of the Marine Corps' forward-positioned tiltrotor squadrons in the Pacific, VMM-268 provides the assault support and rapid response capability that III MEF and the broader Indo-Pacific combatant command depend on. The Red Dragons have deployed aboard amphibious ships, participated in multinational exercises across the Pacific Rim, and maintained expeditionary readiness in the most strategically critical theater in the world. This patch represents the Osprey-era identity of a squadron that has served continuously from the CH-46 Phrog to the V-22 tiltrotor.
