VMFA-212 "Lancers" is a Marine Corps fighter attack squadron with a distinguished combat lineage dating to 1941. Originally commissioned as VMF-212, the Lancers saw their first action during World War II in the Pacific Theater, flying F4F Wildcats and F4U Corsairs. The squadron went on to fly combat missions in Korea and Vietnam before transitioning through multiple fighter airframes. The Lancers' history is one of continuous service and relentless offensive air power in defense of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force.
