Officially Licensed USMC HMM-165 White Knights Patch — Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron CH-46 Sea Knight Embroidered Patch
The White Knights in the Phrog era — over 50 years of service behind the CH-46's rotors.
HMM-165 "White Knights" flew the CH-46E Sea Knight from 1962 until the squadron's transition to the MV-22B Osprey in 2014. In those five decades, the White Knights deployed to Vietnam (1966–1969), the Persian Gulf, Somalia (Operation Restore Hope), East Timor (Operation Stabilise), Afghanistan (one of the first Marine helo squadrons in-country after 9/11), and Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom). Based at MCAS Miramar under MAG-16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, HMM-165 earned a distinguished reputation for reliability and combat readiness across every deployment cycle. The squadron's Phrog-era insignia represents one of the longest and most active chapters in Marine helicopter aviation.
Perfect For:
HMM-165 White Knights veterans, CH-46 Sea Knight crews and maintainers, MAG-16 and 3rd MAW Marines, and USMC legacy helicopter squadron patch collectors.
