The 1st Combat Logistics Battalion (1st CLB) is a United States Marine Corps logistics unit that provides the full spectrum of combat logistics support to the Marine Air-Ground Task Force. As a subordinate unit within the 1st Marine Logistics Group, 1st CLB delivers supply, maintenance, transportation, medical, and engineering support that keeps Marine combat forces armed, fueled, fed, and operational in the most demanding environments on Earth.
1st CLB Marines are the logistical backbone of I Marine Expeditionary Force, deploying aboard Navy amphibious ships as the Logistics Combat Element for Marine Expeditionary Units and providing direct support to ground combat and aviation combat elements during major operations. From convoy operations in Iraq and Afghanistan to humanitarian assistance in the wake of natural disasters, 1st CLB has proven that combat logistics is every bit as demanding and dangerous as front-line combat. These Marines operate in harm's way to keep the supply lines open, the vehicles running, and the ammunition flowing to the Marines who need it most.
